The Racing Line has just received its most significant update since launch. Version 3.0 is available now on the App Store and Google Play, and it includes features that have been at the top of the request list since the app launched.
Live Timing Integration
The headline feature of version 3.0 is live timing for selected series. During live sessions, the app now shows a real-time timing screen with position, gap to leader, lap times, tyre information, and pit stop history.
This is available initially for Formula 1, MotoGP, WEC, and IndyCar. Coverage will expand to additional series throughout 2026.
Redesigned Dashboard
The home screen has been completely rebuilt. The new dashboard shows upcoming sessions more prominently, with a countdown timer for the next session across any of your followed series. Tap any session to see broadcast options, circuit information, and championship standings.
15 New Series
Version 3.0 adds coverage of 15 additional racing series, including:
- Formula 2 and Formula 3 (full calendar and results)
- Superbike World Championship
- British Touring Car Championship
- Porsche Supercup
- Formula E (extended coverage)
- W Series coverage integrated with existing series
This brings the total series count to 235+ championships and racing series tracked by the app.
Widget Support
iPhone users with iOS 16+ can now add The Racing Line widget to their home screen. The small widget shows the next upcoming session across your followed series. The medium widget shows the next three sessions. Perfect for a quick glance without opening the app.
Android widget support is coming in a subsequent update.
How to Update
The update is free for all existing users. Open the App Store or Google Play and tap Update on The Racing Line listing. All your existing series preferences and notification settings are preserved.
If you have not yet downloaded The Racing Line, it is free with no subscription required.
